Gas
We have installed a state of the art system for the production of a large volume of breathing air that is banked at 325 BAR across nine 50L storage cylinders. The system employs a smart way of reducing the cost of production of the Air by splitting this production across two RIX Compressors (the first producing around 200 BAR – although can produce up to 350 BAR) and then the second pump/compressor producing the 325 BAR from this 200 BAR very efficiently. Both compressors are Oil Free/Oil Less RIX compressors. We designed the system in conjunction with the RIX manufacturer and service agent in the UK - HSM Engineering Technology Ltd (Tel 01509 211233 or 07801 340096). They did a stunning job and were highly professional.

These two RIX Compressors are installed and controlled in such a way that they are able to very flexibly fill the Gas bank, Air Bank, fill your cylinders, boost the Air bank, boost the gas bank – all without significant heating of the Gas to the customers’ cylinder. This is a very impressive system. We then operate it in such a way, using special doughnut shaped bar code labels to produce an end to end traceable gas process. Every Cylinder is analyzed In and Out of the facility.
We store two 350 BAR 50L cylinders of NITROX 40%, two of NITROX 60% and two of NITROX 80%, from these we can fill cylinders directly or use them in part to make other gas mixtures as necessary – all of these cylinders are at different fill pressures to keep the partial pressure of Oxygen below 210 BAR for safety reasons. We also bank up a 50L cylinder of Oxygen (kept at 210 BAR), a separate one for Helium (kept at 325 BAR) and a Trimix of Tx 10/52 (kept at 325 BAR). This is all complemented with a gas cage outside where we have three manifolds for incoming Gas supplies of Oxygen, Medical Oxygen, Helium and Argon. Oh and if your feeling really rich Neon. The Gas Cage is custom built by HSM Engineering Technology Ltd to very high security and safety specifications. We are expert blenders and can offer very comprehensive Gas Blending and Compressor training on our or similar systems.
We get our Gas Supplies from Industrial Companies suchas Air Products, Air Liquide or BOC and their supply cylinders are carefully checked, analysed, logged and the batch number and gas quality scanned and recorded to ensure we get the end to end tracability we want for your gas fills. Given the volume of gas and our tracability we do not deal with agents for these big industrial gas companies and enjoy a good turnover of cylinders.

The Supply of Gas at this facility is on the basis of filling in our paper log sheet or electronic database record - which is an undertaking of:-
- You acknowledging that you have the relevant training, insurance and skills to undertake its safe use or that of any third party you choose to give this gas to.
- That you have presented a qualification or relevant proof of experience in its use, or by valve type that it is clearly for Air Weapon Use and you undertake to lawfully use such.
- That you have assured yourself that the gas supplied is that you requested and that you accept full responsibility for its use.
- You agree to and accept ADM Diving & Technical Services Ltd Terms and Conditions of Business.
- That we may take the minimum of ownership details of the cylinders to be filled to provide 100% traceability of all Gas Supplied from this facility. This traceability also extends back into our Gas supplier.
- Gas is supplied to 232 Bar or 300 Bar into appropriate and in date/in test cylinders. Oxygen and Oxygen Content is supplied to 210 Bar without exception, hence final fill pressure involving Oxygen may not be to cylinder rated capacity for high Oxygen Content mixes and pure Oxygen - You will only be charged for the gas supplied to that safe working/final pressure.
- All our Air is technically 'Clean Air', however we do distinguish between Cylinder O2 Cleaning Status
- All Cylinders will be carefully assessed for suitability prior to filling with any sort of Gas
The above terms are mandatory and legally binding whether you sign or not (Any mix other than Air will not be released without proof of qualification and a signature).
