Frontier Diving Exploration

Frontier are the UK's number one conservation and development Society. They are the first choice for volunteering abroad on your gap year, career break or holiday, with so many of their volunteers go on to have successful careers in conservation and development, as paid staff on our projects and with other international conservation organisations.

A growing number of schools, colleges, universities and groups choose to create tailor-made expeditions with Frontier to learn about conservation, wildlife, communities and expedition management.

Frontier aim to promote and advance field research and implement practical projects contributiing to the conservation of natural resources and sustainable rural livelihoods in East Africa, South East Asia and Central America.

Volunteer abroad on a gap year journey and leave a lasting legacy. On your gap year experience a world of adventure, care for orphaned wildlife, discover ancient cultures, and live amongst indigenous communities. Spend your gap year diving on pristine coral reefs surrounding palm-fringed tropical islands, or trekking ancient caravan trails. Safari, raft, climb, ride, visit Maasai tribes and Mayan ruins. On your gap year experience traditional lifestyles as you teach abandoned children, conserve threatened wildlife and habitats as you explore jungles and rainforests in search of new species. Track elephants and tigers, swim with whales and dolphins. Use your gap year to make friends for life while having an unforgettable adventure.

Since 1989 Frontier has been dedicated to conservation and development research, implementing a large number of projects that aim to promote and advance practical field research that contributes to the conservation of natural resources and sustainable rural livelihoods. Our projects include biodiversity assessment and conservation, protected areas establishment and management, sustainable community development, capacity building, alternative income generation and sustainable resource use. Frontier has also been able to implement practical training initiatives in all of our activities to help create sustainable, long-term, positive impacts in the environments where we work. We therefore uphold a high standard of scientific research; this is achieved through close collaborations with in-country partners and wide consultation with a variety of experts throughout the world.

Frontier specialise in tailor-made group expeditions in which members can get to know the leaders and other members very well. Their group projects are completely designed around you and can incorporate any cultural, scientific, adventure, and team-building activities you may require. Whether you’re looking for 5 star diving holiday in Egypt or a challenging trek through Borneo’s darkest rainforests, we’ve got something to offer you.
