 ADM Diving & Technical Services can offer you a comprehensive range of Recreational Scuba and Technical Diving Training to enable you to reach whatever personal goals you may have. We have been around since 2002, firstly as a sole trading business and then as a limited company. Prior to that our Director of training and Managing Director Andrew Dawson-Maddocks has enjoyed many diving/ teaching years, bringing with him and the rest of the team considerable wealth of knowledge and experience into the company. ADM Diving & Technical Services Ltd was co-founded by Andrew and our Finance Director (Barbara Breeze) as a really professional UK Diving School and Facility for your training, diving and service needs throughout the UK and Northern Europe. Our retail side of the business is growing and you will enjoy more and more products and wider range of goods over time. Our customers experience a very involved level of training from our highly respected and experienced instructional team. This will be fun and not a boot camp!! However, you will earn your certification - that we guarantee!

We strongly believe in keeping courses small and hence increasing your ability to learn. Therefore it is our policy to keep the course sizes down to 4 students to 1 instructor for the Scuba and 8 students to 1 instructor for the First Aid. We are well suited to offer personal 1:1 tuition. We may add staff who we are mentoring as instructors and divemasters. Even if these are newly qualified staff they will be totally under our highly experienced instruction and so will you!
We also believe in making this experience a safe one by using our extensive experience to ensure we can do our very best. We believe also in protecting children, vunerable people, your data and your well being - to that end every one of our Instructors, Support Staff, Directors, Surface Staff, Admin - in fact anyone to do with our business has to successfully pass and hold an enhanced CRB check/certificate - there are no exceptions. We pride ourself at being a very forward thinking training facility to uphold and achieve such a tough accolade.
We do believe in being highly flexible, competitive and offer a fair no hidden extras pricing policy. We believe in making your diving experience and training the very best it can be. That includes using the best dive sites for the training and judicious use of appropriate inland sites, either for the training or as backup for our sea dives if the weather doesn’t permit. All our training includes training workbooks, certificates, emblems (where they exist), entrance to the dive sites (inland), Boat fees (where stated) and Gas (incl all technical gases). All of our First Aid training includes workbooks, certificates and a key ring barrier.
We can teach a massive amount of courses and offer an impressive selection, we also offer hire, servicing, suit repairs and indeed sell kit and sundries. We have lots of information about diving, trips and stuff. NOTE: we have new opening hours see the Contact Us page. We have looked over the last year of trading and the impact of our trips away, which days our Trading Counter are busy and those which are very lightly used and believe we can better serve you all by closing every Sunday and Monday from now on and keeping all other times as they are. This will also enable us to start our trips this year and indeed be impact free for our trips up to Capernwray for your servicing needs.
It is our company policy to offer all Armed Forces, MoD, Emergency Services, NUS and RCN members very lucrative discounts off courses, air, gas and goods in store. Equally if you're part of the primary or secondary care community of the UK then talk to us and we’ll see what lucrative deals we can offer you. We are also pleased to offer all BSAC goods and materials to members at ‘members prices’ where we are permitted to do so. We also specialise in basic First Aid, First Aid for Children, HSE Appointed Person in the Workplace First Aid and advanced resuscitation skills. In addition to all this we also offer extreme sports taster sessions such as White Water Rafting; Go on you know you want to!!

We believe in providing all our training with highly experienced instructors and not newly qualified staff. We believe in developing our team through experience and team teaching, so you get what you really deserve – Value for Money. We actively support and encourage new instructors to work with us and receive first class mentoring. No student nor staff member will do more than three open water dives a day - ideally only two. For technical diving this will only be two skills dives or only one deco dive a day.
 We supply high quality Clean Air, Nitrox, Trimix, Heliox, Heliair, Oxygen, Medical Oxygen, Argon and by special order Neox and Hydreliox from our state of the art, stunning Gas Production Facility at our HQ. We also supply CO2 for the fire extinguisher market and can recharge such appliances along with Balloon Gas (Helium) which we blend a special safer mix and supply this Gas for your party Balloons. We can also fill specialist Paintball cylinders, laboratory BA sets and Fire Service BA sets, plus Cave and Mines Rescue sets - which meshes in nicely with our traceable gas schema and they are filled by one of the few Oil Less/Oil Free Compressor Installations in the UK.
We do servicing of cylinders, regulators and offer suit repairs by using exceptional suppliers of such services. Capernwray’s own Breathe Easy IDEST centre does all our Cylinder testing and all of our Regulators (except Scubapro). We have a great turnaround and undertake this service for you, offering this at a £5 P&P charge on each item – a twinset counts as one item! If we can & it's for short periods at a time, then we will HIRE free of charge a replacement Cylinder or Reg Set from our available stock - so you can keep on diving. Suit repairs are done by the world renowned Biddie Foord and who better in the industry – as a diving pioneer, an individual who has been at the forefront recreationally and commercially in diving, diving hyperbaric treatment and suit design and repairs. Film, TV, Stunt and general commerical diving surveys/repairs is a branch of diving that many recreational divers think they are more than up to. However the Health & Safety at Work Act is very clear, paid for or any benefit in kind diving work/project must be carried out by Diving Contractors with the appropriate Qualifications and Insurance. A firm with bags of experience is Commerical & Specialised Diving Ltd. Commercial Diver training can be done at the stunning Fort William Underwater Centre.
